Parul University, Vadodara, stands today as one of Gujarat's leading private universities - a vibrant hub of higher education, healthcare, research, and innovation. Its journey began with the Parul Arogya Seva Mandal Trust, which first made its mark in the healthcare sector before establishing Gujarat's first self-financed Homeopathic Medical College in Ahmedabad in 1993. The Chemical Sciences Department offers various programs as B.Sc. Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Chemistry and M.Sc. Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry with NEP and non-NEP aspects. The Chemical Sciences department has a vibrant academic and research environment with 16 faculty members, 50 PhD students, and research associate. The department also hosts a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students for short projects and research projects. The research activities of the department cover a wide range of areas in chemistry (inorganic, organic, physical, analytical chemistry, and computational chemistry). The department is enriched in research with more than 100 research publications, 15 international books, 20 book chapters have been registered so far, and many are about to publish. The department is actively involved in research in the areas of inorganic and organometallic chemistry, Synthetic organic chemistry, physical organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and photochemistry of nanomaterials and hybrid materials, as well as NMR spectroscopy, theoretical chemistry, computational chemistry, and polymer chemistry. On the experimental front, the department has a large number of state-of-the-art research facilities, including instrumental facilities such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV-VIS Spectrometer, Conductometer etc.
