About Parul University

Parul University, Vadodara, stands today as one of Gujarat's leading private universities - a vibrant hub of higher education, healthcare, research, and innovation. Its journey began with the Parul Arogya Seva Mandal Trust, which first made its mark in the healthcare sector before establishing Gujarat's first self-financed Homeopathic Medical College in Ahmedabad in 1993. This marked the beginning of a legacy committed to quality and holistic learning. Over time, the vision grew into the Parul Group of Institutions, offering programs in Engineering, Technology, Ayurveda, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Management, Architecture, and more. The Government of Gujarat established Parul University through the Gujarat Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2015, recognizing its growth and impact. Starting with 16 institutes and about 50 programs, the University has grown into a multidisciplinary ecosystem of 38 constituent colleges and 21 faculties offering Diploma, UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs, including seven constituent colleges that function as teaching hospitals. Today, it is home to over 65,000 students and 8,000 staff, including 4,500+ international students from 75+ countries, on a 125-acre eco-friendly campus equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, hostels, sports arenas, and cultural spaces. Parul University has earned NAAC accreditation with the highest A++ grade (3.55 CGPA) in its very first assessment cycle, UGC Category-1 status with Graded Autonomy, and the prestigious Centre of Excellence status by the State Government. In NIRF 2025, it ranked among India's top 150 universities, 41st in Pharmacy, and within the top 50 for Innovation. It has achieved 5-star ratings in Applied Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, and Management, and 4-star ratings in University and Medical categories in GSIRF-2024; along with Diamond Ratings in QS I-GAUGE, with Platinum in Medicine, Engineering, and Pharmacy. The hospitals hold NABH accreditation with Platinum Level Certification for Digital Health Standards, along with the NABL-accredited Molecular Laboratory at Parul Sevashram Hospital. About Chemical Science Department

The Chemical Sciences Department offers various programs as B.Sc. Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Chemistry and M.Sc. Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry with NEP and non-NEP aspects. The Chemical Sciences department has a vibrant academic and research environment with 16 faculty members, 50 PhD students, and research associate. The department also hosts a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students for short projects and research projects. The research activities of the department cover a wide range of areas in chemistry (inorganic, organic, physical, analytical chemistry, and computational chemistry). The department is enriched in research with more than 100 research publications, 15 international books, 20 book chapters have been registered so far, and many are about to publish.  The department is actively involved in research in the areas of inorganic and organometallic chemistry, Synthetic organic chemistry, physical organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and photochemistry of nanomaterials and hybrid materials, as well as NMR spectroscopy, theoretical chemistry, computational chemistry, and polymer chemistry. On the experimental front, the department has a large number of state-of-the-art research facilities, including instrumental facilities such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV-VIS Spectrometer, Conductometer etc.

About Parul Institute of Applied Science

Established in 2015, the Faculty of Applied Sciences, a constituent faculty of Parul University, stands as a dynamic center of scientific excellence and innovation. With a commitment to advancing education and research in the field of applied sciences, the faculty offers a wide spectrum of 13-undergraduate and 16-postgraduate programs. The Faculty of Applied Sciences is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation. Driven by a strong research culture, the Faculty of Applied Sciences has achieved remarkable milestones, with over 300 research articles and more than 50 Book Chapters published by postgraduate students, research scholars, and faculty members in reputed national and international journals and Publisher. Students are further supported through financial assistance for dissertation work and research work, encouraging them to engage in impactful and independent research projects.


To bridge the gap between academia and industry, the faculty has established more than 80 MoUs with leading industries and research organizations, offering students opportunities for experiential learning, internships, and collaborative projects. The institute also organizes regular industrial and field visits, providing students with practical exposure to industrial processes, environmental systems, and research environments. In addition, the student exchange programs with national and international institutions broaden global perspectives, academic diversity, and cross-cultural learning experiences.
